These terms explain how ChrisSMS works and what we expect from each other. By creating an account or using ChrisSMS you agree to them. Please read them, especially the sections on refunds and acceptable use.
1. The service
ChrisSMS provides temporary virtual phone numbers for receiving SMS verification codes, plus related digital products such as Telegram Stars and Telegram Premium. Numbers and products are supplied through third-party providers. We work to keep the service available but we can't guarantee that every country, app or product is always in stock.
2. Your account
- You must give accurate details when you sign up, including a phone number that belongs to you. It is used to set up your personal funding account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
- One person, one account. Accounts may not be sold, shared or transferred.
- You can deactivate your account at any time from Settings.
3. Wallet & payments
- Services are paid for from your ChrisSMS wallet, in Naira. You fund it by bank transfer to your personal funding account; transfers are credited automatically, usually within a minute.
- The price shown before you confirm a purchase is the price you pay. Prices can change at any time, but never for an order you have already placed.
- Wallet funds are for buying ChrisSMS services. The wallet is not a bank account, earns no interest and is not for storing money or sending it to other people.
- If money is credited to your wallet by mistake (for example, a duplicate or wrong credit), we may correct the balance.
- If you believe a deposit hasn't been credited, contact us with the amount, time and sending bank so we can trace it.
4. Virtual numbers
- Each number is temporary and intended to receive a verification code for the app or website you selected. It may not receive messages from other services.
- A number stays active for up to 20 minutes while it waits for a code. Once an order ends (code received, cancelled or expired) the number can't be reused or recovered.
- Numbers are shared, recycled inventory from our providers. Don't use them for accounts you need to keep long-term or recover later by SMS.
- Whether an app accepts a number, and whether it sends a code, is decided by that app. We can't control it.
5. Refunds
- No code, no charge. If no code arrives within the number's 20-minute life, the order expires and the full price is refunded to your wallet automatically.
- Cancelling. You can cancel a number that hasn't received a code once it is at least 2 minutes old. The refund goes to your wallet immediately. In rare cases a provider won't release a number early; it is then refunded automatically when it expires.
- After a code arrives the order is complete and is not refundable, including when the code was not used in time or the app later rejected the account.
- Refunds are paid to your ChrisSMS wallet, not to a bank account.
6. Telegram Stars & Premium
Make sure the Telegram username you enter is correct before paying: products are delivered to the username given and can't be moved once delivered. If an order can't be delivered, contact us with the order number and we will look into it.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use ChrisSMS, or anything bought on it, to:
- commit fraud, scams, identity theft or impersonation, or to deceive any person or business;
- send spam, harass anyone, or create accounts in bulk to abuse another platform;
- break the law in Nigeria or wherever you are, or break another platform's rules in a way that harms others;
- attack, overload, reverse-engineer or try to get around the security or limits of ChrisSMS.
8. Suspension
We may lock a wallet or suspend an account to protect customers, providers or ChrisSMS, for example while we look into suspected fraud, a disputed payment or misuse. Where we can, we will tell you why and how to resolve it.
9. Liability
ChrisSMS is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by third-party apps or providers, by delays or failures outside our control, or by how you use the numbers and products you buy. Our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use ChrisSMS after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
